Dale Roberts Volunteering to pick up and deliver a powered chair for a disabled Paisley Resident. He also has attended several Lake County Economic Development Council meetings in Lakeview and is a driver for the Paisley Disaster Team. He also displayed his high standard of ethics when the illegal votes from out of the city were counted for new council members. He was the only Paisley City Council Member to stand up and request a recount, to count ONLY the (legal) votes from city residents. The vote was four to one against him. Dale, I consider you and Barb a friend and you DO have my respect.
Mary Lou Sanchez: Developing and running the Senior Meals Program for Paisley, organizing the Taco Feed for the Kemry family, and assisting with several other community projects.
JoAnn Solheim: It seems she is active and supporting most every community efforts. How do you do it all, JoAnn?
LaVonna TempleLioness with never ending energy. She is always there to help, no matter what the need. LaVonna, for many years has chaired and coordinated the Lioness Bar-B_Que at our Festival. There isn't enough room to list everything she has done.
Ora Temple With his warm smile and quick wit (but old jokes) he has been active in dozens of ways in the community. Sitting up tables and chairs, helping the Methodist Church management, assisting at the Halloween Party, hall clean up, he is there helping. One of my first meetings with him about eight years ago was standing on the roof of the Methodist Church Hall, putting on a new roof. Paisley is better off because of Mr. and Mrs. Temple.
Elizabeth Weatherly:Volunteering for the Family Center.
Patty Westgate: Taking on Management of the Paisley Festival.
Shanna Anseth. She started and is running a soccer team for 6 to 7 year olds.
The Release Time Gang. Both the Methodist and AG pastors (Charles Chase and Jim Dickensen) plus Elizabeth Weatherly, Hope Arrington, Martha O'Connor, Nita Cardoza, Sharon Colahan, Michelle Huey, and
JoAnn Solheim are helping with Release Time. And thanks to Tule Chiono and Andy Dickinson for helping with Youth Group, and Cindi Nolan, Hope Arrington and Debi Fellows for helping with dinners for Youth Group. These are both very important activities for youth in our
community, and without volunteers they would not happen.
Next? I know I am missing some. Let me know who to add and why... E-mail me at PaisleyOregon@AOL.COM with the name and details.
