Robert Wagner stars as Tony Petrakis, a sponge fisherman working the coasts of Florida with his father (Roland). Complicating their lives are deadly rivals, led by Thomas (Boone) and Arnold (Peter Graves) who will stop at nothing to defend their territory.

This colorful film, with Romeo and Juliet overtones, features breathtaking location shots and a stirring score. It's also unique for innovations, such as being the first movie to shoot underwater scenes in Cinemascope.
